Alabama National Fair returns to Montgomery with new foods and lower ticket prices
MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The Alabama National Fair is returning to Montgomery for 11 days of fall fun, featuring agricultural exhibits, carnival rides and games, live entertainment and community events.
The annual fair was founded in 1954 by the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery as a fundraiser. Over the years, the Kiwanis Club, through the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery Foundation, has donated more than $10.5 million to local charitable organizations.
This year’s fair on October 8 – 18 will feature new food options along with returning favorites, giving fairgoers plenty of choices to enjoy.
Alabama National Fair Executive Director Randy Stephenson spoke with Action 8’s Estee Morrison about what visitors can expect this year, including some of the new foods coming to the fairgrounds.
Stephenson also discussed a change in ticket pricing, with tickets costing less this year.
The Alabama National Fair brings together families and visitors each fall while supporting the community through the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery Foundation.
