Not A Weekend Washout But Wet For Some Of It

We have a decent rain event setting up for our area this weekend.   Moisture is on the increase and that will help bring back scattered showers and t-storms Saturday and a good soaking rain Sunday.  Some areas could pick up some beneficial rainfall over the next few days.

A southerly wind flow will transport the moisture into the state throughout the weekend.  Scattered showers and t-storms are possible Saturday afternoon into the evening hours. Temps will still manage to reach the upper 80s to lower 90s for highs.

Sunday is looking like our best day to receive rainfall.  A frontal boundary along with increasing moisture will fuel more showers and storms. The front will be a slow mover and even stall over the state.  Rainfall could be generous with 1 to 3 inch rainfall totals possible through Monday morning. Temps will only manage the 70s for highs Sunday afternoon.

Rain will be sticking around for early Monday but we’re trending drier as the week progresses.  A northeasterly wind flow will usher in some cooler air for a few days.  Daytime highs will hover around 80 while overnight temps drop in the 50s around the middle of next week.
