Alabama State falls to Bethune-Cookman 16-10 in lightning-delayed road game

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WAKA) – In a game affected by weather, Alabama State fell to SWAC rival Bethune-Cookman 16-10 on the road yesterday evening.

The game started off dry, before rain and lightning brought a delay that lasted more than an hour.

Freshman quarterback Aaron Frye finished 12-of-20 for 93 yards, with an additional 15 carries for 60 yards.

ASU is now 3-2, and 1-1 in SWAC play.

The Hornets return to ASU Stadium to host Florida A&M for homecoming. Kickoff for this SWAC matchup is set for 3PM on Saturday, October 10.
