Woman killed in two-vehicle crash in Covington County

COVINGTON COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – A woman has been killed and two other people have been injured in a two-vehicle crash in Covington County.

Alabama State Troopers say 37-year-old Yaime Zulueta of Euless, Texas, was a passenger in an SUV that was hit by a pickup truck driven by 45-year-old Allen Catrett of McKenzie. Zulueta was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the SUV, 35-year-old Argelio Berenguer, also of Euless, Texas, was injured as was Catrett. They were both taken to Andalusia Health for treatment.

The wreck happened just before 1PM yesterday on Alabama Highway 55 about five miles north of Red Level.
