Elmore County Woman Dies of Wreck Injuries

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says an Elmore County woman has died of injuries she suffered in a one-car crash.

Sgt. Steve Jarrett says 71-year-old Billie Speigner of Deatsville died Thursday, Feb. 11 from injuries in the crash that had happened two days earlier.

Jarrett says the car she was driving had struck a ditch. He says Speigner was not wearing a seat belt. The crash happened on Alabama Highway 111 at the 9 mile marker.
