A sellout crowd poured into the Renaissance Convention Center in Montgomery for the 2026 Faulkner Benefit Dinner

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – It was another sellout crowd this year at the annual Faulkner University benefit dinner in downtown Montgomery tonight.

Guests were able to hear from former CIA Director and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and former MI6 Chief, Sir Richard Moore as they talked about their work with intelligence agencies as well as artificial intelligence.

The university hosts this event every year to raise money for student scholarships, specifically for undergraduate students. Faulkner University has offered over $18 million in scholarships, and this benefit dinner is a huge contribution to those funds.

The university also honored those living with disabilities tonight, shining a spotlight on them and their families who bring joy to everyone they’re around. Faulkner University President, Mitchell Henry, told Action 8, that this night is what makes Faulkner so special.

“For more than 25 years, this benefit dinner has benefited our students. It’s allowed us to offer amazing scholarships, so that young people can afford a private Christian education. It’s an important part of this season of the year and it’s an important part of we are. I want you to know that we are here to serve, and our students are here, we’re serving the community, and we’re going to celebrate that tonight,” said Faulkner University President, Mitchell Henry.

President Henry also told Action 8, that they’ve already narrowed down their search to just a handful of people to be next year’s distinguished guest.
