Alabama National Fair

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) — The Alabama National Fair will be closed Friday, Oct. 9, out of an abundance of caution because of expected strong winds associated with Hurricane Isaias.

Fair Executive Director Randy Stephenson said many vendors need time to secure their food trucks, games and rides ahead of the expected severe weather.

The fair is scheduled to reopen Saturday, Oct. 10, at 11 a.m., with tickets half price all day.

The Commodores’ concert scheduled for Saturday evening will go on as planned.

The Alabama National Fair is held at Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery and runs through Oct. 18.
