Heart of Alabama Food Bank helps our Gulf Coast neighbors impacted by Isaias
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – The Heart of Alabama Food Bank is taking the call to action and helping our neighbors in the Gulf Coast.
The food bank is sending out trucks full of emergency food and water supplies to support Alabama communities along the Gulf Coast that were affected by Hurricane Isaias. Volunteers with the food bank packed more than 1,000 emergency food boxes, pallets of bottled water, and additional supplies donated from Birmingham’s food bank. All supplies are being sent to Feeding the Gulf Coast food bank in Mobile.
Another truckload of supplies are being sent out tomorrow.
