Crumbl Cookies closes a Montgomery location
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Crumbl Cookies has closed its bakery on Zelda Road, in the Publix shopping center as the bakery chain faces issues nationally.
It still has a location at Vaughn and Taylor roads.
Industry publications say at least 57 stores have closed nationwide this year, but there are still more than a thousand open.
Overall, sales were down 70% in August.
Insiders say cookies aren’t an everyday purchase and people are cutting back on splurge spending.
