PRATTVILLE, Ala. (WAKA) – A Halloween tradition has returned to the city of Prattville, just in time for Halloween.
The annual “Parade of Pumpkins” draws tens of thousands of people to downtown Prattville. It features thousands of decorated pumpkins, seasonal displays, food vendors, live entertainment, and activities.
It also showcases everything that makes downtown Prattville special, including local businesses, restaurants, entertainment, and public gathering spaces.

One of the best parts of the Parade of Pumpkins is that anyone can participate. Everyone is encouraged to carve or decorate a pumpkin and bring it to Downtown Prattville for display.  Participants can also enter their creations in the Best Pumpkin Contest.

“We have just a plethora of pumpkins from the schools and from the community it’s a showcase of all of the amenities that we have downtown our lyric at Esther’s we have the wonderful creek walk all the different things that make Prattville downtown amazing,” says Dawn Russell, an organizer of the Prattville Parade of Pumpkins
“You know we’re A military family so coming through and having things like this for the kids to be a part of feels like we are part of the community and also allows them to get to experience other things that they wouldn’t otherwise have experienced because the community comes out to be in the public and also to participate in it as well,” says Grace Lewis, a visitor to the site.
