Man Arrested in Elmore Co. Home Invasion Charged with 9 Counts
Mark W. Crowe, 19, who has been charged with 9 counts as a result of Thursday morning’s Elmore County home invasion, was present for a scheduled bond hearing today. Crowe is charged with Sodomy 1st, Robbery 1st, Breaking & Entering (2 counts), Theft of Property 3rd (2 counts), Burglary 3rd, Burglary 1st and Theft of Property 1st.
District Attorney Randall Houston said, “This is a unique and unusual case,” and urged District Judge Glenn Goggans to increase the bond amount for Crowe. Houston stated, “He is a danger to himself and the community. Crowe told law enforcement when he does Xanax and marijuana he wants to hurt people. I believe he is a flight risk and therefore, am asking for a total of $280,000 in bonds, with $100,000 of that as a cash bond.”
Judge Goggans agreed with District Attorney Houston that he believed Crowe to be a flight risk and set bond for a total of $305,000, with $200,000 of that as a cash bond.
