Church Plans Service For Men Injured In OK Plane Crash

One Montgomery church is trying to help three area men who were severely injured in a plane crash over the weekend in oklahoma.Â
Â
Vaughn Forest Baptist Church is planning a prayer service for Thursday night to let community members come together to lift up those men.
Â
The crash happened Sunday, and while the FAA is still investigating, it says the plane’s engine died in flight, forcing an emergency landing.
Â
The three men were in critical condition, but are recovering.
Â
One of the men is an active member of Vaughn Forest.
Â
Administrative Pastor Hardy Sellers says the church has a banner for members to sign which will be delivered to the hospital in Tulsa. He says it’s been hard being so far away.Â
Â
Â
“A lot of concern, a lot of prayer. There’s a lot of frustration. Not a lot you can do when someone is in Tulsa Oklahoma. We have set up a lot of prayer chains and just keeping people informed so they can pray, try to do what we can do and help the family out anyway we can,” said Sellers.Â
Â
Â
That service is planned for 6 o’clock Thursday night at Vaughn Forest Baptist Church.Â
Â
Â
Sellers says two of the men have been released from the hospital, but the third will likely stay in Oklahoma for several weeks to recover.
