Elmore county is preparing for a huge weekend. This as Slapout’s Jess Meuse takes the stage on American Idol. If Jess makes it to the final 3, American Idol will be coming to Elmore County for the hometown hero visit. And a slate of events that could draw huge crowds.

Judges had mixed reviews of Jess’s Wednesday night performance on Idol. But it’s the fans’ votes that matter. And if she gets enough, she’ll be heading home-but not alone. In an interview Wednesday night with Wetumpka Mayor Jerry Willis, he tells us the preliminary plans for Jess’s visit.

“then she’ll be coming back to montgomery, the airport. We’ll pick them up from there, bring the entire production crew back to wetmpka. She’ll be in holtville on saturday morning, touring the school where she attended, visiting in holtville, then coming to wetumpka and then a street parade followed by a concert at 4.”
