River Region Iron Chef Competition Raises Money for People with Blood Disorder

Local celebrities put on their oven mitts to battle it out for bragging rights in the annual “Who is the Real River Region Iron Chef” contest.
The friendly cooking competition included our own news anchor Jamie Langley and meteorologist Marcy Novak, who came in second place. It wasn’t all fun and games, though. There was work involved. Each team got a basket with secret ingredients. From there, they had to put together a meal. Judges then scored the teams on what they made, how it tasted, and how they used the ingredients in their baskets.
It was all for a great cause. The host of the fundraiser, Hemophilia and Bleeding Disorders of Alabama, is dedicated to serving those with an incurable bleeding disorder.
