It’s a rivalry that runs deep, and fans at the MAX Capital City Classic Tuesday night definitely came ready to cheer on their teams.

“War Eagle!” said Patricia Bell. “Roll Tide!” said her friend Paula Harris.

“I’m an Auburn graduate and I brought my two children and their friends to the game to root on Auburn and say War Eagle!” said Mary Ashley Wise.

Donna Shaffer tells us she is a big Alabama fan. “Pretty big, we don’t miss a game, as far as baseball, we do, but football…no.”

They have plenty of gear to help them do it. They have everything from posters, shakers and even face tattoos.

Once they got their gear, it was time to get some food, which included things from Philly Cheese steaks to biscuits, of course.

Then It was time to play ball!

Even though it’s a heated battle on the field, win or lose, some show us even the biggest rivals can still be good friends.
“We really enjoy it. We really do,” said Harris.

“When her team loses, she’ll buy me another Coke,” said Bell.

“I will, but we ain’t got to worry about that cause we aren’t gonna lose!” said Harris.
