Nova goes 6, Miller injured in Yankees’ 2-0 win over Braves

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) – Ivan Nova pitched six innings and reliever Andrew Miller left the game after being struck on the right arm by a line drive in the New York Yankees’ 2-0 win Wednesday over the Atlanta Braves.

Nova, bidding for the fifth spot in the Yankees rotation, matched the Braves’ Julio Teheran through five innings. The right-hander gave up two hits and struck out two in his sixth spring start.

Teheran, who will pitch the Braves’ regular-season opener against the Washington Nationals, gave up four hits and struck out two.

Back-to-back triples by Dustin Fowler and Billy Fleming and a single by Austin Romine off Braves reliever Alexi Ogando accounted for the Yankee runs in the eighth.

Aaron Hicks had three of the Yankees’ 10 hits.
