Church Pastor Sex Crimes Case Moves Forward in Dallas Co.

From the West Alabama Newsroom–Â The case against a Dallas County church pastor accused of various sex charges involving a minor — is headed to a Dallas County grand jury.
District Attorney Michael Jackson says William Best Junior waived a preliminary hearing scheduled for this morning– and the case has now been sent to the grand jury.
Jackson says Best carried on a sexual relationship with a seventeen year old — that started when the girl was fourteen.
Best was serving as the pastor of Living Waters Church when he was arrested last month — and charged with rape — sodomy — and incest.
“This is a very disturbing case, the trust issue was violated both at church and at home. A very, very sad situation for the victim,” said Jackson.
Best remains in the Dallas County Jail on two million dollars bond.
