Teen Arrested on Rape Charges

A teen accused of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl is being held on $120,000 bond in the Tuscaloosa County Jail.

Tuscaloosa County police Sgt. Brent Blankley says 16-year-old Anthony Jamal Hill became the target of an investigation after a report was filed on May 9. Police say Hill surrendered shortly after authorities obtained warrants for him and county jail records show he was taken into custody on Tuesday.

County sheriff’s spokesman Andy Norris says Hill is charged as an adult with rape and sodomy. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
