Two Arrested for Drive-By Shooting in Selma

From the West Alabama Newsroom, two people are hurt in a drive-by shooting over the weekend in Selma.

Lt. Sam Miller says the victims were in a car, sitting at the intersection of Highway 80 and Highway 41, when someone pulled up in a car and opened fire.
“Hitting both the individuals,” said Lt. Sam Miller. “The passenger was able to get the car steered off the road, move the driver over to the passenger seat. He drove him and the shooting victim to his residence of a family member and they called the ambulance and they were taken to Baptist South.”
On April 18, members of the Selma Police Department Detective Division made two arrests in connection with the April 16th Selma shooting.
The two suspects were questioned and both charged with two counts of Attempted Murder and given a NO BOND. The two suspects have been identified as Xavier Waller, 20, of Selma and Ken Prevo, 27, of Selma.
One shooting victim is still hospitalized and is in critical but stable condition, the other victim has been released. Detectives are still working on other leads and more arrests are expected.
