Montgomery Woman Injured in House Fire

A Montgomery women is recovering from burns sustained in a house fire near downtown.

 
The fire started about 10:30 Friday morning in the 1600 block of Madison Avenue near Crampton Bowl.
 
The woman received second-degree burns to her hands and chest.  She was taken to Jackson Hospital for treatment.
 
Fire officials don’t know what caused the blaze, but they say it began in a bedroom.
