Montgomery Police Chief’s Brother Charged With Felony
The Montgomery Police Department has charged Patrick Murphy, Montgomery Police Chief Kevin Murphy’s brother, with a felony after leaving the scene of an accident.
According to the police department, the upgraded felony charge was recommended because the crash caused injuries.

Police say Murphy left the scene of an accident after he struck a vehicle at the intersection of Chantilly Parkway and Ryan Road on May 19th.

They say he then hit three other vehicles at the intersection of Chantilly and Vaughn Road.

The Montgomery Police Department is continuing the investigation with the possibility of filing additional charges depending on forensics test results.
