Dreams Set to Come True for Two Local Kids
Montgomery Academy students will surprise 18-year-old girl named Hallie with the news she will travel to meet Justin Bieber for her magic moment. Hallie suffered a brain aneurysm at age 13 and the students at Montgomery Academy have been raising funding for her magic moment throughout the school year.
Although Hallie is a student at Carver High School, she is a part of the Montgomery Academy family. Hallie’s grandmother, Joyce Sweatt, was an employee of Montgomery Academy for more than 30 years. The Academy family has rallied around the Sweatt family during the ups and downs of Hallie’s treatment over the past five years.
Additionally, the Montgomery Academy Lower School students will surprise 12-year-old Abigail of Marbury with her magic moment on Thursday, April 28th AT 8:30 AM. Abigail, diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, has requested a trip to Disney World with her family.
The Lower School has also been fundraising throughout the school year to sponsor Abigail’s magic moment. During an assembly in the gym, Abigail will learn the big news from students and faculty in the Lower School.
