Thad McClammy Wins Alabama House Dist. 76 Race

State Representative Thad McClammy says it’s been a long, hard race and he says he’s thankful for all of his supporters not just in this race, but in the last 20 years.
The race for the Alabama House District 76 has come to an end with state reprenstative Thad McClammy taking the win. And after weeks of campaigning, it was time to celebrate. Dozens of his supporters came to My Place restaurant on Eastern Blvd. in Montgomery. McClammy believes what his campaign stood for is what got him support.
“My theme has basically been saving the children. And so that was what it was all about and hopefully this will be one step forward in making this a safer place in the community, particularly for the children,” Said McClammy.
McClammy faced 11-year Montgomery Councilman, Tracy Larkin. He says he can’t thank those who supported him enough…
“I want to say thank you, simply thank you. We have ahd a acampaign that was operated on a shoe string. We were running against a very entrenched and well-financed incumbent,” Said Larkin.
McClammy says he’s celebrating now, but tomorrow he’ll be back at work.
