Cloverdale Bar Granted Liquor License
The Montgomery City Council has approved the liquor license for a new bar in the Cloverdale area.
Graham Woods Neighborhood Pub is now allowed to serve alcohol. Â The city council denied the application before.
Coucilmen say that’s because owner Mike Watson owns 3 other bars, which had allegedly served drinks to minors.
Watson promised the council his employees were trained to prevent those problems.
But not all council members seemed sure. Â Montgomery city councilman Arch Lee says, “IÂ would ask you to work extremely hard to make sure that you avoid any hiccups you’ve had in the past. I have some reservations but i’m going to move forward. I move for adoption.”
The new pub has also drawn controversy for the parking problems it could create in the Cloverdale area.
