Mtgy Man Arrested After Standoff at Apartment Complex
Police have charged a Montgomery man after a standoff at an apartment complex.
32-year-old Sammy Nelson, Jr., has been charged with burglary, menacing and unlawful imprisonment.
Authorities say Nelson surrendered after a five hour standoff Tuesday at Festival Apartments.
Montgomery County sheriff’s officials report that Nelson was taken to the hospital after shooting himself during the standoff.
Authorities say he also had an active warrant for a Violation of  Protection Order.
