Two Arrested in Early Morning Prattville Murder; One Suspect Still Sought
A homicide happened in Prattville at the 1900 block of Cobbs Ford Rd, early Sunday morning. The Prattville Police Department started an investigation into the murder of 56-year old John M. Taylor, a resident of Prattville.
Late Sunday night, two suspects were taken into custody. One being a 14-year old black male, the other being a 15 year old black male. Both are being held in Montgomery and charged with the murder of Mr. Taylor.
“A third subject is being sought at this time in connection with this case. That subject, Santwone Cornelius Jones, date of birth 06-05-91, black male, address of 1203 Bragg St., Murder one has been issued for Mr. Jones at this time”, Prattville Chief of Police, Mark Thompson said.
All suspects were from Montgomery. Authorities are working with the DA at this point to attempt to have the 14 and 15 year old charged as adults.
The Prattville Police Department at this time would like to thank Montgomery Sheriff’s office for their aid last night in Montgomery.
The case is still under investigation.
