Alabama State University’s Pending Lawsuit

We ask Alabama State University’s President about the lawsuit recently filed against the school.
Gwendolyn Boyd has no comment and says the lawsuit is ongoing. Boyd says she wants to resolve the situation. Last week, we heard from the attorney of a professor who is suing ASU for discrimination.Â
The Alabama State University President Gwendolyn Boyd had this to say…
“Whatever it is that they tell us to do, we will do it. We haven’t received that yet. So whatever they tell us to do, we will do it.”

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools has issued a warning. ASU is in hot water with the accrediting agency for failing to comply with standards related to the board of trustees, governance, financial stability and title four funding.
