Selma Man Arrested on Child Abuse Charges
On May 31, detectives interviewed Justin Salter,26, of Selma, in reference to allegations of aggravated child abuse and domestic violence 2nd degree.
Upon interviewing family members, probable cause was established to charge Justin Salter with the following:
Aggravated Child Abuse- NO BOND (Felony)
Domestic Violence 2nd- Assault Family- NO BOND (Felony)
Because the victim is a juvenile, their name will not be released.
The allegation that started the investigation was that Justin Salter struck the juvenile in the face with a closed fist, causing a fracture to the juvenile’s jaw and knocking a tooth loose. There were also signs of abrasions and bruising around the juvenile’s neck and shoulder area. Justin Salter was arrested at police headquarters.
Detectives will continue to investigate the case with the help of outside agencies.
