14-Year-Old Arrested in Gunshot Death of Woman
Police say they’ve apprehended a 14-year-old suspect in connection with the shooting death of a northern Alabama woman.
WAAY-TV reports that DeKalb County sheriff’s deputies found 38-year-old Kelena Annette Hicks wounded at her home Tuesday afternoon. She was flown to Huntsville Hospital, where she later died.
Authorities said the 14-year-old was taken to a detention center in Anniston and was expected to make a court appearance later this week.
Few other details were immediately available early Thursday.
