Children With ADHD Likely to Develop Substance Abuse Problems

The American Academy of Pediatrics reports children with ADHD are more likely to develop substance abuse problems.

Many children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder are treated with stimulant medication which researchers say  has the potential for misuse and addiction.

They also point out, children with ADHD are often approached to sell, buy or trade medications.
