Children With ADHD Likely to Develop Substance Abuse Problems
The American Academy of Pediatrics reports children with ADHD are more likely to develop substance abuse problems. Â
Many children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder are treated with stimulant medication which researchers say  has the potential for misuse and addiction. Â
They also point out, children with ADHD are often approached to sell, buy or trade medications.
The report suggests more monitoring and guidance for these children.
