Annual Marion Rodeo Underway in Perry Co.

The annual Marion Rodeo is underway this weekend in Marion.
The rodeo has been going strong for 21 years and organizers say this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Organizer Robert Hoggle says the rodeo is sanctioned by the Professional Cowboys Association.
He says it draws participants from all over the southeast and features eight separate events.
“Its never a dull moment here. A lot of people go to other rodeos say I like to come to Marion,” said Hoggle.
Proceeds from the rodeo benefits the Perry County Fire Association.
