Father’s Day in Montgomery
There were dozens of dads out on Father’s Day, enjoying the day with their families at the Montgomery Zoo.
Zoo admission for dads was free if they came with their kids. The Montgomery Zoo also gave dads free admission to the Mann Wildlife Museum of Learning.
With so much chaos in the world, the dads out and about with their families had a good time getting away from the struggles of every day life. While the dads say they are worried about where the world is going, they have other priorities.
“You know, being a dad’s a priority,” says dad Greg Carter, while holding his son Greyson. “So that comes before all the political stuff and all the news, and all the, bad things you hear about. You gotta be the dad first and look at the positive side of all of it. So I don’t worry about that, I don’t let that interfere with the, being a dad part of life.”
“I mean, just make sure I have a good relationship with him and make sure he grows up to be a responsible adult. Yeah, he should be alright,” says Steven Gazzillo with his young son Tarn.
The Montgomery Zoo has a special Father’s Day deal every year. If you want to start preparing for next year’s trip, Father’s Day will be on June 19 in 2017.
