MPD Make Arrest in Oak Street Shooting

The Montgomery Police Department has made an arrest in the Monday, June 20, shooting death of 30-year-old Darnell Bush of Montgomery.

MPD detectives charged Deskendre Hatcher, 24, with one count of capital murder. Hatcher was taken into custody on June 28 in the 3400 block of Oak Street by MPD detectives. Hatcher was transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility, where he is being held without bond.

MPD and Fire Medics responded to the 200 block of West Park Avenue at about 11 p.m. June 20 after receiving a report of shots fired. There, they located Bush, who had sustained fatal wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
