New Training Technology Introduced to Troy University Football Team

Troy University football players are gearing up for the season with new technology that will help them play better…
and reduce injuries.

The advanced 3-d wearable sensor technology is brand new to the United States. Troy is the first university that has access to the technology. Trainers say it identifies certain movement patterns that put athletes at risk for injuries and those that decrease athletic performance. After this week’s assessments, players will be given corrective exercises.

“We’ll also hopefully incorporate some of that into strength and conditioning and so of that we can focus on the majority of weaknesses with the team and work that in to some of our everyday conditioning activities,” says Allison Gramling.

This type of training is also being used on players in the NBA and NFL.
