Heat and Humidity Here to Stay

Your fourth of July will be similar to today, hot and humid with a chance of an afternoon pop-up show or thunderstorm.  Coverage of any storms that do pop up will be limited, and they should fizzle out after sunset.  Evening fireworks celebrations should go on uninterrupted.  As we begin the work week, rain chances increase a little, especially on Wednesday as an upper level disturbance passes through the area.  Temperatures will be in the mid nineties to start the week, expect a high of 95 for both Tuesday and Wednesday.  The weather pattern will dry out again Thursday into Friday, with highs around 96 each day.  Models indicate better chances for rain as we begin next weekend, but only slightly better chances.  It will still be hot and humid, with highs in the mid-nineties.  Overnight lows for the period will generally be in the lower seventies.
