Troy Utilities Department Shares Energy Conservation Tips
The Troy Utilities Department is educating residents on how to conserve energy and sharing information on new technology for customers.
The department says every penny counts. That’s why they will soon offer a customer portal for customers to view their water and electric usage everyday. City officials say the portal will hopefully help customers cut energy costs. The portal is expected to be available to customers in the Fall of this year.
“This can help them probably try to cut back and save money on both water and electric based on seeing where they are abusing it and where they are not,” says Mike Davis, Assistant General Manager of Utilities.
Once the portal is available it will be accessed on the City of Troy’s website, in the same location where customers pay their utility bills online.
