Troy Officials Progress in Ideas to Revitalize Downtown
Troy City officials say they are making progress in their efforts to revitalize the downtown area.
Residents have attended two meetings to share their ideas with officials. The latest meeting was a workshop for residents to create strategies for the city’s vision. One improvement residents would like to see is more parking.
“One of the ideas that was mentioned was to do more way-finding signage so people no where parking lots are, maybe incorporate into that signage distances to their destination,” says Melissa Sanders of Troy’s Planning and Zoning.
City officials will present a preliminary design and facade study at the next meeting for Troy’s downtown vision. It will be held Thursday, July 28th at the Troy City Hall, starting at 4 pm.
