Hot and Humid Week Ahead

Most of the area stayed dry this afternoon while temperatures rose into the mid 90s.  We will stay dry tonight as showers and clouds diminish, leaving us with mostly clear conditions.  It will stay muggy tonight, with temperatures remaining in the 80s through midnight.  We will eventually fall into the mid 70s before sunrise tomorrow.  It looks like most of the river region will be dry again tomorrow, we will see very few afternoon showers. It will also be very hot again, with temperatures again in the mid 90s with heat indexes of around 100-105 degrees.  Rain chances remain limited for Tuesday Wednesday, but temperatures will be slightly cooler, with highs in the lower to mid 90s.  Better rain chances come our way for Thursday into Saturday as an upper level disturbance heads our way.  High temperatures for the end of the work week will be closer to normal, but it will stay humid causing the heat index values to be near 100 for those days.  Overnight lows for the period will generally be in the low to mid 70s, with no real relief from the summertime heat and humidity in sight.
