Fatal Crash, Fire Causes Backup on I-85

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) – A crash involving a tractor trailer and passenger vehicle snarled traffic along Interstate 85 near downtown Montgomery.
Authorities say the crash and resulting fire in the northbound lanes of the freeway on Wednesday afternoon led to traffic backups that lasted into the evening.
The identity of the person who was killed in the crash hasn’t been released.
