Macon Co. Courthouse Fire Determined to be Arson
A fire that caused heavy damage to the historic Macon County Courthouse is being investigated as a case of arson.
The Macon County Sheriff’s Office believes the July 9 fire was deliberately set. Multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating to find those responsible for the fire.
The fire was discovered in the early morning hours of July 9 and extinguished by Tuskegee firefighters.
