Ala Man Gets 35 Years in Stabbing Death, Wounding

A Lee County judge sentenced a man to 35 years in prison for fatally stabbing one man and injuring another last year.

Circuit Judge Jacob Walker imposed the sentence Monday on Kentarious Beasley.

The Opelika-Auburn News (http://bit.ly/1vcezip ) reports that Beasley apologized for what he did and told the judge he isn’t a bad person.

But the judge sentenced the man to prison for manslaughter in the death of Gregory Antoni Moody and attempted murder in the wounding of his brother, William Herbert Moody Dowdell.

Opelika police arrested Beasley and his twin brother after two men were found stabbed in a trailer park on April 1, 2013. Beasley’s brother wasn’t indicted.
