Elmore Co. Police Search for Convenience Store Thieves
The Elmore County Sheriff’s Department is searching for two unknown subjects wanted in reference to a Theft of Property Investigation.
On August 11, 2016 between 7:00-7:30 p.m., two unknown males entered into a convenience store located in the 1600 block of Balm Road in Wetumpka, Alabama. Within minutes, video surveillance shows one of the individuals walk to the back of the store and make entry into an open office door.
The suspect then leaves out of the back door. After the subjects leave the scene, the store clerk discovered a large sum of cash missing from the back office.
Investigators advise that both subjects left the scene in what appears to be a purple or maroon 94- 95 Honda Accord.
