Exercise may Help Protect Older Women Against Irregular Heartbeats

Exercise may protect older women from developing an irregular heartbeat.

Researchers studied the exercise patterns for thousands of women between the ages of 50 and 79.

Those who were the most physically active cut their risk for atrial fibrillation by 10 percent.

Their level of exercise was the equivalent of walking briskly for 30 minutes, six days a week.
