Cold Front Approaches
Tonight: Showers and Storms should be diminishing as we head through the rest of the evening, although we could see a few additional storms fire this evening, but most will stay dry. Skies will clear some overnight, and should eventually become partly cloudy. Overnight lows will be in the mid-70s this evening.
Tomorrow: More scattered storms across the area as a cold front to west approaches the river region. Before storms fire up around the noon hour, temperatures will be in the upper 80s to near 90. Expect storms area-wide through the afternoon and early evening. Storms will diminish after sunset.
The cold front looks like it will stall approximately along I-85 monday evening. Because of this, it looks like we won’t get much relief from the heat and humidity. High pressure to the southeast is a major reason for this, and will block the front from making it all the way through the area. However, rain chances look to go down quite a bit as we get into the work week due to the area of high pressure settling over the area. A much more hot and dry weather pattern will set up Tuesday and beyond. Temperatures look to reach the mid 90s by the middle of the week. Meanwhile, overnight lows will remain warm in the low to mid 70s.
