MPS Chief School Financial Officer Fired After Paycheck Mishap
After a human error caused for close to 5,000 Montgomery Public School employees to get their paychecks late. The school board dished out it’s punishment today by firing the Chief School Financial Officer.The School board called a special meeting to consider firing the CSFO, Pamela Wooden. With a 4-2 vote, they approved the termination.
After not getting their paychecks Wednesday, we’re told that most, if not all were paid by Thursday.
In Friday’s meeting, board members went back and forth on what they should do. In the end, Wooden was fired.
Wooden worked for the school system since 2013. First she worked as the payroll supervisor, then she became the CSFO in 2015.
