Auburn Fans Gearing Up for Season Opener

Fans are rolling into Auburn for the season opener against the Arkansas Razerbacks, and many have high expectations for the defending SEC champions.
By Friday morning, thousands of people were already getting ready for the festivities, including tailgating.
Some traditions aren’t the same, though. This is the second year there will be no Toomer’s Oaks to roll after a Tiger win. The university removed the trees a little more than a year ago, after they were poisoned. However, some fans say they’re happy with the progress the university has made in the long-term plans for Toomers Corner.
“I mean, i like where it’s headed. they have this new setup and that looks nice, but you have all the wires set up, so we still roll Toomer’s Corner regardless,” said Tyler Long, an Auburn student.
The university has put up wires for students to roll instead.
The game will kick off Saturday at 3 P.M.
