Montgomery Co. Sheriff’s Office Makes Arrest in Weekend Murder
A Montgomery County woman is dead and a man behind bars after a Saturday night shooting.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Officials say it happened just after 7:00 P.M. near a park by the intersection of Marler Road and Saint James Church Loop in the Waugh community.
They say that’s where they found a woman, suffering from gunshot wounds. She later died at a hospital.
Sheriff’s officials say 24-year-old Marcus Sanders is charged with capital murder and robbery in connection with the case. He’s being held at the Montgomery County jail with no bond. Officials say they’re still investigating what led up to the shooting.
The victim’s name has not been released.
