Troy Officials Warn of Pranking Consequences

Homecoming week has arrived for some high school students.

Troy Officials want students to know the importance of staying in their boundaries. Some acts that are considered to be vandalism include spray painting or throwing eggs at houses and vehicles. They say kids should make sure you are not trespassing on someone’s property. In Alabama, a person can be charged with criminal mischief in the first degree, if they damage someone’s property.

“Depending on the dollar value of the damage caused that would determine the extent of the crime and it’s bad enough it could be a felony.”

Homecoming for Pike Liberal Arts is in the next 2 weeks. Charles Henderson’s High School’s Homecoming is the this week.
