‘Prevail Union’ Craft Coffee Shop Opens in Downtown
"Prevail Union" offers new flavor to downtown business.
Downtown Montgomery now has its own craft coffee shop.
Prevail Union Coffee Company opened its doors Friday at One Court Square.
This rounds out the small business incubator at C&P Mercantile that is having success downtown. The coffee shop is merged with the Southern Makers artisan market along with a barber shop.
Prevail Owner Phillip Johns says he started the business in Auburn and decided to bring it to the Capital City. He hopes to offer Montgomery a unique option when it comes to coffee.
“We believe in brewing coffee either by hand brewed methods, pour overs or we all have expresso based drinks, your lattes, your macchiatos, your frittatas. One of the drinks that is famous for the Prevail Union is the Honey Vanilla Raspberry Latte. So we will have that available soon as well,” said Johns.
The coffee shop plans to move along with the other businesses into the Kress Building when it is completed next year.
