Suspect Charged in Death of Missing North Alabama Man

A north Alabama man is charged with capital murder in the death of a man who was found dead during the annual Mule Day event in DeKalb County.
Authorities say 32-year-old Daniel Adam Beaty of Valley Head is being held in the killing of 33-year-old Daniel Thomas Fuller.
Fuller’s body was found in woods near the Mule Day campground in Ider on Sunday. He had been reported missing on Aug. 12.
Beaty has been in jail since mid-August on unrelated charges.
DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris says the capital charge was filed because some of Fuller’s belongings were taken and sold after his death.
Harris says Beaty claims the killing was in self-defense.
